In Ireland, Specsavers offer free hearing aids to everyone with a PRSI entitlement. Which is a great offer, the only problem is that no one wants hearing aids - they don't want to be thought of as deaf or old. And to make things worse, they think they have to pay £2000 for hearing aids, which is a lot of money, especially on a pension.
So, getting free hearing aids is actually fantastic news, ‘Music to your ears’... which oddly enough is also one of the benefits of hearing properly again.
